1/2 tsp Saffron
8 to 10 Cardamom pods
2 tsp apple cider vinegar
3/4 the cup khaand
2 tsp fresh lemon juice
Pinch of salt
1) Gently crush cardamom with a rolling pin.
2 ) Now take a saucepan and add cardamom, saffron strands, vinegar, salt, lemon juice, khaand, and one cup water.
3 ) The heat of the flame should be medium.
4 ) Keep stirring until the khaand dissolves and then simmer the flame.
5 ) Now add Apricots and if needed then can add a little bit more water.
6 ) We have to submerge the apricots in it to cover it with the lid.
7 ) The flame should be simmer until the apricots get tender.
8 ) But it should not get over tender or mashy.
9 ) When gets tender, switch off the flame.
10 ) Keep it in room temperature.
11 ) When cools down, enjoy it.
The main ingredient in this recipe is Apricot and Saffron. Apricot improves heart health. It's good for digestion, eyesight and moreover protects from cancer. But Saffron also helps in eye and vision health and improves arthritis too. It has been used in the treatment of Asthma and whooping cough.
